New Home Renovation

I finally purchased my townhouse after a very long road. I lost my previous home in the wake of all the foreclosures 4 years ago. With 4 children and finally getting my last 2, twins, through high school and into college it was time to focus on me. My hopes, dreams and future. I had moved in with my mother with the children to get ourselves back on our feet. I was sole supporter, dead beat dad and had all the weight of the world on my shoulder. But with lots of work, family support, faith and good old fashion hard work I was able to purchase this short sale property. Short does not mean quick by any means. I financed as a renovation morgage through FHA and have completely gutted the kitchen, 2 1/2 baths, taken out all the flooring and and now am ready to go.
This picture is midway through my master bathroom. The vanity being used is the hope chest that my father gave to my mother many years ago. I sanded it, painted it and sprayed the hardware to make it into the 21st century. I was able to purchase a remnant piece of marble for the top, a vessel sink and it is going to be amazing while recycling too. The floor is a porcelain tile that looks like hardwood and the shower has while subway tile accented with teal glass and one inch blue, clear and teal tile. I wanted serenity and the carribean beach is there for me.
The work is hard but the dream is coming true. It can happen! You just have to believe and work hard.
